Erklärung:

Unter "Einführungssatz" versteht man das kurze Satzstück zu Beginn oder am Ende der direkten Rede.


Beispiele:

Father says ...

 

John asked ...

 

Peter answered ...

 

... the teacher said

 

... my friend shouted


BILDUNG:

Steht der Einführungsatz (s.o.) im PRÄSENS, dann ist die Zeit der direkten Rede gleich der Zeit der indirekten Rede.


Beispiel:

John says: "I have seen the film!"

 

John says that he has seen the film.

 

 

Steht der Einführungssatz im PAST, dann ändern sich die Zeiten wie folgt:

Beispiel für Present Perfect zu Past Perfect:

Befehle, Bitten, Aufforderungen werden meistens mit einem Infinitiv wiedergegeben:

   
 

"Don't worry!" (Mach dir nichts draus!)

 

He told me not to worry.

He said (that) he didn't like me.

"I can't help you!" Peter said.

Peter said (that) he couldn't help me.

Present Perfect - Past Perfect

John asked: "Have you bought the book?"

John asked (me) if I had bought the book.

"Have you seen her?"Father wanted to know.

Father wanted to know if I had seen her.

Past Tense -
Past Perfect

She said: "I bought a present for you yesterday!"

She said that she had bought a present for me the day before.

"Did you go to the cinema last week?" they asked.

They asked if we had gone to the cinema the week before.

Past Perfect -
Past Perfect (bleibt)

"Had he given you the book back?"

Mr. Smith asked if he had given the book back.

"Had she met him before?"

My friend asked if she had met him before.

Future - Conditional I

She said: "I will go on a long holiday soon!"

She said (that) she would soon go on a long holiday.

He said: "I will never buy a Porsche!"

He said he would never buy a Porsche.
